"If You Just Work For Money, You'll Never Make It, But If You Love What You're Doing And You Always Put The Customer First, Success Will Be Yours." - Ray Kroc
To what extent did Ray Kroc’s vision and perseverance revolutionize the corporatization of America and companies world wide?
In 1938, Ray Kroc, a salesmen, had received an abnormally large order for his product. He was selling milkshake machines at the time, and when he received an order of eight to one location, his curiosity led him to a small restaurant in San Bernadino, California. It was a restaurant owned by the McDonald brothers that was unlike any he had seen before. There was no indoor seating, it was self-service, and the menu only consisted of burgers, fries, and drinks. The food was produced in an assembly-line fashion that allowed the customers to get their food within minutes after ordering. Ray Kroc at the time was 52 years old, had diabetes, but the great potential Ray saw in McDonalds lead him to expand the franchise to the world dominating company that it is known as today.
For better or for worse, Ray Kroc’s innovations and strong integrity have revolutionized food businesses around the world and changed cultures around the world.
